0154 GMT [Dow Jones] A bunch of Asian trade data for April due Wednesday and Thursday is likely to show an upturn on the previous month. But the region's exports are likely to remain flat, as they have been for past two years, ING says. China's exports, due tomorrow, are likely to show 7.7% on month growth, after contraction in the first quarter. Taiwan data, due today at 4 p.m. local time, is expected to increase by 5.5% on year in April. But this is still well below double-digit export growth in the 2000s following China's accession to the World Trade Organization, ING points out. Malaysia also reporting exports today, expected to show 12% on year growth. (tom.wright@wsj.com)
