Australia's Central Bank May Slightly More Upbeat on Jobs -ANZ

        0456 GMT [Dow Jones] Australia's central bank appears slightly more optimistic about the outlook for the job market, but the pace change in the rhetoric that accompanied its decision to keep rates steady in May, was "glacial," said Ivan Colhoun, head of economics, Australia at the ANZ Bank. The RBA kept rates on hold at 2.5%, where it has kept them since August, as an economic recovery slowly emerges in the face of a fading mining investment boom. (james.glynn@wsj.com)
