NZD/USD Slipping in Risk Averse Markets Says Westpac

0511 GMT [Dow Jones] NZD/USD ticked up to 0.8656 early in the session but has slipped back on a "general air of risk aversion that is persisting. Asian currencies have been doing quite poorly," says Westpac Bank Senior Strategist Imre Speizer. The pair is at 0.8637 and Speizer says it has support at 0.8625 and resistance at 0.8660. Key events will be Fed Chair Yellen talking early Thursday (NZ time) along with the FOMC minutes, says Speizer. Market participants will also be watching for the results of the GlobalDairyTrade auction early Wednesday in New Zealand. (rebecca.howard@wsj.com; Twitter: @FarroHoward)
