USD/TWD Edges Lower on Inflows - Exporters

        0837 GMT [Dow Jones] Inflows to Taiwan stocks and month-end exporters' selling of the greenback push the USD/TWD lower. The pair closes at 30.178, vs 30.216 late Wednesday in Taipei. Two local traders say the central bank is believed to have bought the USD around 30.12, vs 30.145 Wednesday, to keep the pair in its target band. One of the traders tips the pair to test 30.10 Friday, as she expects the local currency to remain in high demand. The Taiex closes 1.2% higher. Foreign investors are net buyers of NT$5.58 billion worth of stocks -- the highest in a week. (aries.poon@wsj.com)
