0831 GMT [Dow Jones]--Britons have lowered their expectations of future inflation, although they still expect prices to rise at a faster rate than the BOE's inflation target, so no need to join euro-zone policy makers in fearing deflation just yet. Britons see inflation over the coming 12 months at 2.6%, the lowest expected rate since Feb 2010. Five years from now, they expect annual inflation of 2.9%, the lowest expected rate since August 2009. No pressing need to hike rates to manage inflation expectations. (paul.hannon@wsj.com.
