As mentioned Engadget, researchers have discovered a malware called KeyRaider IOS, who has managed to steal more than 225,000 Apple ID of iOS-based devices that have been jailbroken. KeyRaider utilizing a Chinese-made applications for the Apple ID can steal data or take control of the phone that he infiltrated.
If you inadvertently download KeyRaider, then your Apple account data will be stolen or the attacker will take over your phone and require you to pay if you want to be able to re-use your mobile phone.
This attack can only be done in IOS that has been modified. So, if you have never done jailbreak, you do not have to worry about the iPhone you will be attacked. Even so, this can be a big problem in China, given that most iPhone there has indeed been jailbroken.
