Mullah Omar's death was covered up by the Taliban

Taliban Afghanistan admitted covering up the death of their former leader, Mullah Omar, for over two years.
Biography successor, Mullah Akhtar Mansour, published on Monday (August 31) said Mullah Omar died on April 23, 2013.
The merita but had withheld a number of Taliban leaders for tactical reasons.

The official statement issued on behalf of remains Mullah Omar until July when Afghan intelligence announced his death in a hospital in Pakistan.
