Print Record Surplus, Germany Still Champion Export in Europe

The German government returned successfully to boost its export performance in the middle of 2015. According to the data of July released some time ago, the number of Europe's largest trade surplus hit a record this success. Achievement is achieved thanks to the skyrocketing value of exports of goods to foreign countries.

Germany's trade surplus (adjusted for calendar and seasonal factors) amounted to 22.8 billion Euros or the equivalent of $ 25.6 billion in July. The number was higher than the revised surplus in June, which amounted to 22.1 billion.

Thus, the surplus in July was the largest since the data was first created in 1991 ago. The numbers also exceeded forecasts economic agents surveyed by the Wall Street Journal which is in the range of 22.3 billion euros. Export volume soared 2.4% compared to the previous month to 103.4 billion euros (monthly record), while imports rose 2.2% to 80.6 billion euros.

German balance of current account balance, which is an indicator of the international financial position, showed a surplus of 23.4 billion euros in July or above the median forecast of economists of 21.5 billion euros. While the number of trade surplus in July of last year amounted to 20.6 billion euros.
