Courteney Cox Ends Engagement

Courteney Cox And Johnny McDaid Split, End Engagement - The now-former couple broke up shortly before Thanksgiving. Indeed, Gossip Cop saw Cox in New York City recently with her daughter Coco, and the actress was not wearing her engagement ring. Repeated requests for comment sent to Cox’s rep went unanswered.

Gossip Cop has now learned, however, that Cox and McDaid have officially called off their plans to wed. The Snow Patrol member spent much of his relationship with Cox living in the United States, but now will resume living in his native England. The breakup is being attributed to lifestyle differences.

As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Cox and McDaid were introduced by their mutual friend Ed Sheeran last year. They became engaged in June 2014, with the musician proposing at Jennifer Aniston’s home. In the time since, Gossip Cop debunked a number of false rumors about wedding plans.

For instance, it was wrongly claimed Cox and Aniston were feuding over who would have the better wedding. It was also ridiculously reported that David Arquette would walk his ex-wife down the aisle. Gossip Cop even debunked a story that alleged Cox and McDaid were secretly married, and then another that said she was dumped at the altar in February.

Cox and McDaid last stepped out together for a formal appearance in August (see photo above). Neither star has publicly commented on the breakup.
