Dave Henderson, 1986 ALCS hero for Red Sox, dies at 57 - Former major league outfielder Dave Henderson, best remebered for his dramatic home run in Game 5 of the 1986 ALCS, died Sunday. He was 57.

Henderson debuted with the Mariners in 1981 and played in the big leagues through 1994. He was a key member of the A's when the team made three straight World Series from 1988 to 1990. He also played in the 1986 World Series as a member of the Red Sox.

A .258/.320/.436 lifetime hitter, Henderson was an AL All-Star in 1991.
