Man leaves chickens in state tax office: Live payment left abundance of poop - A disgruntled Oregon tax payer left a flock of chickens in the lobby of the state revenue office. After the man left the chickens this caused a bit of chaos, as the office complex had no means to care for the feathered flock. This became an immediate problem as the chickens made their own deposits.

According to Newser on December 25, apparently the folks at the tax office have had dealings with this tax payer previously and the outcome wasn’t to his liking. He returned with seven chickens and let them run rampant through the building.

The Creswell man released that flock of chickens inside the agency’s field office near Valley River Center on Wednesday. Wouldn't you have just loved to have been a fly on that wall!

One police official speaking off the record said that while the chickens didn’t do any damage to the building, they did leave a lot of poop! Chances are that is what 66-year-old Louis Adler had in mind when he dumped his seven chickens in the building.

Police and animal control staff rounded up the chickens and took them to the animal shelter. Adler was given a “no trespass” order for the state revenue building. He couldn’t be reached for a statement, according to the Register-Guard.

This was one way to show your displeasure with the tax people, at best it disrupted their day. The issue that Adler had with the tax people was not revealed, but one can only imagine the frustration this man must have been feeling to leave a flock of fowl behind!
