Obama to Debut on Jerry Seinfeld's 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' - Guy pulls up to the White House South Lawn in a 1963 Corvette Stingray Split Window Coupe. A cell phone rings, and then you hear two very familiar voices.
 Voice 1: “White House.”
 Voice 2: “Yes, may I speak with the president please?”
 Voice 1: “Speaking.”
 Voice 2: (Gasp, laughter).

That’s all we get for now from President Barack Obama’s debut on comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” and to see that much you have to wait until the last seconds of the two-minute promo for the new season.

The White House and Sony’s streaming network Crackle released the promo on Monday—as well as a photo of Obama and Seinfeld riding around inside the car—with an announcement that Obama will be the first guest of the six-episode season, in an episode airing on the site on Dec. 30. This is the seventh season for the show, which will feature Will Ferrell and Steve Martin among the cast of other funny people this year. Obama is the only elected official to do the show so far, though he’s tried his hand at other comedy sketches including Zach Galifianakis’ “Between Two Ferns.”

The Obama-Seinfeld segment was recorded on Dec. 7., Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and also the day after Obama's unusual 8 p.m. address to the nation on his efforts to protect the nation the in wake of fears about the Islamic State and terrorism at home.

The men stayed on the White House campus for the taping. According to the release, the Secret Service let Obama ride on the pavement that circles the South Lawn. Seinfeld said in a statement released by Crackle that Obama was "so easy and fun to be with" while making comedy at the White House felt as surreal as walking on the moon. The segment also takes them into the Map Room, the Diplomatic Room and the China Room of the White House and into a staff dining room for, of course, coffee.
