Ronda Rousey Goes To Marine Corps Ball

Ronda Rousey attends Marine Corps Ball with Jarrod Haschert - Ronda Rousey may still be down about suffering a loss to Holly Holm last month, but she wasn’t about to let her sadness keep her from fulfilling a promise.

Rousey attended the Marine Corps Ball in South Carolina Friday night, which is something she committed to doing after accepting a video invitation from Lance Corporal Jarrod Haschert in September. Haschert recorded a video asking Rousey to the ball, and the video ended up being viewed over four million times. Rousey eventually accepted the invitation.

Following her loss to Holm, Rousey has mostly avoided the public eye and even shielded herself from photographers. But she perked up enough to make the public appearance and seemed to be all smiles at the event:

Rousey joked to Haschert that he shouldn’t get his hopes up because she wasn’t a first date type of girl, and that’s not to mention that she has a serious boyfriend now. Regardless, Haschert is probably just thrilled that Rousey came with him. He probably thought it was a long shot, but it came through.
