Bell released from hospital after horrific Daytona crash - Camping World Truck Series driver Christopher Bell is one lucky man.

He rode out a stunning crash in which his vehicle rolled 13 times at Daytona International Speedway.

Saturday, Bell left a hospital much the same way he climbed out of the wreckage of his racer — under his own power.

Take a look at Bell's wild ride on the final lap of the NextEra Energy Resources 250.

John Hunter Nemechek, who was involved in the crash, said he thought he drove under Bell's airborne truck.
"It seemed that way. I don't know how close it actually was," Nemechek told reporters after the race. "I know he was pretty high up in the air. It felt like I drove underneath of him, but I couldn't tell you.

"I wouldn't say it was scary. You're just trying to make it through, hope for the best and trying to make it through. We got clipped and it ended our day."

Johnny Sauter took the checkered flag under caution for his 11th win in the series in his first start in the No. 21 GMS Racing Chevy.

Friday's Truck Series race was the first of three major races to conclude Speedweeks. Saturday brought the season's first Xfinity Series, the Powershares 300, starting about 3:30 p.m. ET.

NASCAR's first Sprint Cup race of the season, the Daytona 500, is scheduled Sunday. TV coverage begins at 1 p.m. ET.
