A California woman led police on a pursuit while driving a van painted to look like "The Mystery Machine" from the "Scooby Doo" cartoon series.
Sharon Kay Turman, 51, was at a traffic stop on Sunday around 3:50 p.m. when officers attempted to stop her for a probation violation, according a press release sent from the Redding Police Department.
The woman led police on a pursuit in the 1994 Chrysler minivan painted like something out of the cartoon. She eventually drove through a red light at an intersection and smashed into four other vehicles.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter then located the van and Turman continued the chase through the nearby city of Anderson at nearly 100 mph. This "Mystery Machine" #ScoobyDoo lookalike van apparently led #Redding police on a pursuit today @KRCR7 #KRCR pic.twitter.com/vjhvMsof5B— Madison Wade (@madisonwadeKRCR) March 6, 2016
