Far from All's Good on The US Jobs Front

8:37 EDT - While the establishment survey shows a way-above consensus 288K jobs created last month, the household portion on which the unemployment rate is based was downbeat. It puts the number of employed down 73K. That as the number of people in the workforce plunged 806K, helping push the unemployment rate down from 6.7% to 6.3% as those counted as unemployed tumbled 733K. It seems those who might have re-entered the workforce to look for jobs the past several months moved back out in April. Far from a healthy sign--the establishment survey's gain besides.
