Germany to Auction EUR1B April 2018 Linker Bobl on May 13

        By Emese Bartha
FRANKFURT--The German federal government will conduct an auction for inflation-linked federal notes on May 13, the Deutsche Bundesbank said Thursday.
The German Finance Agency announces auctions of inflation-linked paper on the Thursday prior to the sale, unlike with Treasury bills and conventional fixed rate government bonds such as Bunds, Bobl or Schatz, whose auction dates are announced on a quarterly basis.
The series on offer is a reopened issue launched in 2011.
The following are details of the coming auction.
The scheduled auction volume includes a tranche to be initially retained by the German Finance Agency for market-tending purposes.
The German Finance Agency manages the country's federal debt, while the Deutsche Bundesbank is responsible for conducting the debt auctions.
