0303 GMT [Dow Jones] Taiwan government bonds are lower in thin volume, reflecting caution ahead of a new 30-year bond auction later Friday, says a local trader. "Some investors are worried that insurers' bids will turn weaker at the 30-year bond auction this time, and that weighs on the 10-year bonds," a trader says. The cut-off yield of the 30-year bond is expected to come between 2.0300 and 2.0700 (outcome is due around 0430GMT), he adds. The most-traded 10-year bond yield is at 1.4960% vs 1.4933% late Thursday; the trader tips the yield to trade in a 1.4800%-1.5200% band for the session. The five-year bond yield is at 1.0260% vs 1.0250%. (fanny.liu@wsj.com)
