0314 GMT [Dow Jones] Taiwan government bonds fall on thin volume tracking overnight declines in U.S. Treasurys, a local trader says. "The yield of the U.S. 10-year notes rising back to above 2.600% hurts investor sentiment here," he says and adds many market participants also refrain from trading ahead of Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen's speech later this week. The latest CPI data and local stock market also fail to provide fresh trading cues. The most-traded five-year bond yield rises to 1.0270% vs 1.0235% late Monday. The trader tips a 1.0200%-1.0400% band for the session. The 10-year bond yield is at 1.5310% vs 1.5250%. A 1.5100%-1.5400% band is pegged. (fanny.liu@wsj.com)
