Thailand Loosing Competitiveness Next to Its Neighbors: DBS

0147 GMT [Dow Jones] The outcome of a military coup notwithstanding, Thailand's brand has been dented yet again, making its neighbors seem like a much better prospect for foreign investors. "Even if the economy maintains a competitive edge in manufacturing, foreign investors may now look elsewhere," DBS writes. "Myanmar is opening up its economy, Indonesia's huge domestic economy remains attractive, and the Philippine economy has been growing robustly in the past several years." DBS says a credit rating downgrade for Thailand now looks very likely. (jake.watts@wsj.com; @jmwatts)
