Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. says James Holmes was a grumpy who wasted his life and directed his hatred into chaos and killing innocent people in a movie theater in the city of Aurora, the state of Colorado.
"It is almost impossible to understand how a human being could commit such acts," added Samour.
Samour compare bloody attacks carried Holmes on July 20, 2012 with compassion jury proposes a life sentence rather than the death penalty. "At least one jury showed mercy, unlike Holmes when it comes to cinema".
Samour was formally sentenced to life imprisonment for Holmes without parole for the murder of 12 people. Holmes also was sentenced to more than 3,200 years for attempted murder and bombing charges.
The judge has no choice in the case of the murder earlier this month after a jury did not agree with the death sentence unanimously against Holmes. Samour impose the sentence after the last two days to hear the testimony of some of the victims who survived the attack, including a first aid workers who arrived on the scene.
