Final reading of Japanese Manufacturing PMI index rose to 51.7

Index of manufacturing activity of Japan in August expanded at the fastest pace in seven months as rising domestic demand, shown in a survey results on Tuesday, these results provide hope that demand from the household sector might be able to balance the economy is being hit from growth sluggish in China.

Index final reading for Japanese manufacturing PMI from Markit and the Nikkei was at 51.7 for the month of August, slightly below the preliminary reading to 51.9 levels but still above the reading level of the end of July at 51.2.

The index is still above the threshold level of 50 that separates expansion from contraction for four consecutive months and showed activity expanded at the fastest pace since January.

The index for new goods orders rose to 53.4, higher than the preliminary reading of 53.2 and a final reading of 50.2 the previous month, indicating domestic demand rises sufficiently strong.
