Reports: Dodgers' deal with free-agent SP Iwakuma hits snag - The Los Angeles Dodgers' deal with free-agent right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma is in jeopardy because of a problem with his physical, according to a report by Japan's Jiji Press.

Iwakuma, 34, agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract earlier this month.

The Los Angeles Times reports the deal is not off, though the Dodgers have been haggling with Iwakuma's representatives.

Iwakuma was 9-5 with a 3.54 ERA in 20 starts for the Seattle Mariners in 2015. He struck out 111 batters in 129 2/3 innings. However, he spent nearly two months on the disabled list with a strained lat and has had elbow and shoulder issues in the past. In his four seasons in the majors -- all with Seattle -- Iwakuma is 47-25 with a 3.17 ERA and a 7.6 K/9 ratio.
