Patriots Footballs PSI Checked

PSI in Patriots’ footballs reportedly will be checked against Titans - Sunday will be the New England Patriots’ lucky day in the league’s DeflateGate lottery.

It’s their turn to have NFL officials weigh footballs before, at halftime of, and after the game between the Patriots and Tennessee Titans, according to NFL Network producer Lisa Kraus Edwards.

The league has been randomly testing footballs all season long in the wake of the DeflateGate debacle that began last January, when the Patriots were accused of deflating footballs in the AFC championship game against the Indianapolis Colts. Sunday, though, would be the first time the Patriots have been subjected to the tests, according to Edwards.

As DeflateGate reminded everyone, NFL rules require footballs to be inflated within 12.5-13.5 pounds per square inch.
