Trey Gowdy Marco Rubio Offers Endorsement

Benghazi chairman Gowdy endorses Rubio for president - Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who chairs the Select Committee on Benghazi, endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in the 2016 presidential race Saturday.

"Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust," Gowdy said in a statement to Townhall. "I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state."

The legislator is set to appear at six of Rubio's seven Iowa campaign stops next week.
