Stephen Colbert Books Megyn Kelly

Stephen Colbert Books Megyn Kelly For Live Post-Super Bowl Show - CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has booked Fox News Channel anchor (and Donald Trump’s least favorite debate moderator) Megyn Kelly for his post-Super Bowl broadcast this Sunday.

Kelly joins Whiskey Tango Foxtrot stars Tina Fey and Margot Robbie, Zoolander 2’s Will Ferrell and Colbert’s former Comedy Central colleagues Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who are starring together in Keanu. They will help Colbert make TV history when his becomes the first late-night series to snag the post-Super Bowl time slot, starting at 10 PM ET-ish.

Kelly’s no slouch, star-wattage-wise, having emerged as one of the lead characters of the country’s most watched TV series, The GOP Debates. Most recently, she was cited by Republican front-runner Trump as being among the reasons he boycotted the most recent debate on the eve of tonight’s Iowa caucus:
I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!

by asking Trump a question about how he has characterized women in the past. Although her news competitors said the question was appropriate, Trump responded, in an interview to CNN’s Don Lemon, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her — wherever.” The Trump-Kelly battle became so big, news execs at other networks found themselves taking questions from media as to whether it was time to move on from “talking about Megyn Kelly’s menstrual cycle.”
