0928 GMT [Dow Jones] Orders for Taiwan exports likely remained strong in May on rising demand for electronic products, Standard Chartered economist Tony Phoo says. Orders rose 8.9% year over year in April compared with a 5.90% increase in March. "Orders related to new mobile devices will likely keep growing until the second half of this year amid faster economic recovery in the U.S. and Europe," he says adding improving orders from China also indicate that country's economy is holding up.
