1551 GMT [Dow Jones]--Emerging markets' risky assets have come under pressure this week, but the selloff is most likely to only be a tactical correction, says Societe Generale. "It does make sense for EM investors to engage in some position-squaring ahead of the major event risks this week -- the ECB primarily, and the U.S. NFP release -- for tactical risk management purposes," says SocGen strategist Benoit Anne, adding that the case for strategic exposure to EM remains intact. Moreover, investors' exposure to the asset class is still not excessive. "There has been some scaling up of EM risk but I would argue the positioning backdrop remains broadly favorable," he says.
