Opens Stronger Yuan, Rebound From Low Level
Yuan opened higher on Tuesday, after closing at the weakest level since 2011 in the previous session. People's Bank of China set the yuan midpoint at 6.3987 per dollar before the market opened, more powerful than yesterday's closing session level at 6.4044. The spot market opened at 6.4149 yuan per dollar, and move in the range of 0.64100 at the beginning of the session, 56 pips from the previous closing level and 0:18% of the midpoint. The spot price is now only allowed to trade in a range of 2% above and below the midpoint which is set on the day.
