Jimi Hendrix would have turned 73 this month - Rock legend Jimi Hendrix would have been celebrating his 73rd birthday on Nov. 27.

Born in 1942 in Seattle, Wash., he would go on to be one of the most iconic musicians, not only of the 1960s, but arguably of all time. Tunes like "All Along the Watchtower," "Purple Haze," and "Little Wings" still grace the airwaves, no doubt a testament to his talent.

While his fame has been long-lasting, his time on earth is a different story.
Hendrix died on Sept. 18, 1970 in London, England after asphyxiating on his own vomit while intoxicated on barbiturates. And with that, he became a member of the ill-fated "27 Club."

One thought that has undoubtedly popped in the mind's of fans is: What would he have looked like today? Or any of the other rock legends who died too soon, for that matter?

Take a look at the gallery above for one artist's rendering of what late legends like Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin would have looked like today.
