The sweeping orchestral song is titled, “Spectre,” after the 007 film that opened in November, and is now available to download free on Soundcloud.

"Last year we were asked to write a theme tune for the Bond movie 'Spectre,'” singer Thom Yorke tweeted with the link to the song.

"Yes we were. It didn't work out, but became something of our own, which we love very much.

"As the year closes we thought you might like to hear it. Merry Christmas."

After Radiohead’s “Spectre” didn’t bond with producers, singer/songwriter Sam Smith’s “Writing’s on the Wall” was chosen for the 25th installment of the espionage franchise.

Smith proved to be the man with the golden pipes; his tune became the first Bond theme to hit No. 1 on the British charts.

“May the force be with you," Yorke concluded his tweet, referencing a completely different movie.
