Netflix has renewed Marvel's Jessica Jones for a second season, the streaming service announced Sunday at the Television Critics Association winter previews. The series, which stars Krysten Ritter (Veronica Mars) as the titular private detective, was well-received by critics when it premiered in November. The Marvel series is the second of five planned live-action series at Netflix. Season 2 of Marvel's Daredevil will debut in March, while the upcoming Luke Cage and the in-development series surrounding Iron Fist and the Defenders have yet to be scheduled. A series starring Jon Bernthal's the Punisher is also reportedly in development.
In the series addictive first season, Jessica, who received superpowers after an accident that killed her parents, confronted her traumatic past as a victim of the dangerous and sinister villain Kilgrave, who was played to terrifying perfection by David Tennant. Executive-produced by showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, the series also stars Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and more.
What do you hope to see happen in Season 2?
