ESPN puts Jessica Mendoza on ‘Sunday Night Baseball’ full-time - ESPN baseball analyst Jessica Mendoza broke barriers with her occasional appearances on “Sunday Night Baseball,” but now she’ll be a fixture on the show with ESPN expected to name her Wednesday as a weekly member of the broadcast booth, The Associated Press reported.

Mendoza, a two-time Olympic medalist as a U.S. softball player, will replace Curt Schilling in the booth alongside Dan Schulman and Aaron Boone, who is replacing John Kruk as he moves back to the  “Baseball Tonight” broadcast.

Mendoza became the first female to serve as in in-game analyst during an MLB game broadcast by ESPN in August and set another mark when she became the first female analyst to call a nationally televised MLB postseason game when she sat in the booth for the American League wild-card game in October.
