Rams owner Stan Kroenke is buying a ranch in Texas that's bigger than the city of L.A. - The multibillion-dollar stadium in Inglewood isn’t the only big deal Rams owner Stan Kroenke is working on these days.

The sports mogul and real estate developer agreed Tuesday to purchase the 535,000-acre W.T. Waggoner Ranch in Texas.

The largest contiguous ranch in the U.S. -- it covers more space than the city of Los Angeles -- includes oil wells, thousands of cattle and 30,000 acres of farmland. The price was not disclosed, but the ranch had been listed for $725 million.

"This is an incredible opportunity and an even greater responsibility,” Kroenke said in a written statement.

The planned 298-acre sports and entertainment hub in Inglewood where the stadium will be built could fit into the W.T. Waggoner Ranch about 1,795 times.

Before the transaction, Kroenke ranked as the country’s ninth-largest landowner, according to the Land Report magazine. His holdings include ranches in Wyoming and Canada.
