Zuckerberg climbs Forbes billionaires list - Facebook is making people a lot of money.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg climbed one spot to sixth on Forbes magazine's 2016 list of the world's richest people, with a net worth of $44.6 billion.

Five other people on Forbes' list made their billions through Facebook, including co-founders Dustin Moskovitz ($8.9 billion) and Eduardo Saverin ($6.2 billion), as well as Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg ($1.2 billion). Meanwhile, Jan Koum and Brian Acton, co-founders of Facebook-owned messaging service WhatsApp, are worth $8.6 billion and $4.4 billion respectively.

Overall, six of the top 15 billionaires in the world generated their wealth in the tech industry, according to Forbes' list.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates once again claimed the top spot, boasting a net worth of $75 billion. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos dropped one spot from last year to No. 5, with a net worth of $45.2 billion.

Larry Page (#12) and Sergey Brin (#13)

The duo co-founded this little company called Google. Page edges out Brin, with a net worth of $35.2 billion, compared to Brin's $34.4 billion.
