Oue Limited/Skyspace LA |
The Skyslide, expected to open in June, is part of a $50 million renovation of the building, which is the tallest building on the West Coast, CNN reported.
The slide will span about 45 feet from the tower’s 70th floor to its 69th floor observation deck, with a ride costing $8, according to the news site.
Singapore-based OUE Ltd. bought the 72-story building in 2013, the Los Angeles Times reported. Renovations will include a bar on the 70th floor and an interactive video exhibit detailing the history of Los Angeles on the 54th floor. The complex is called OUE Skyspace L.A. and will boast views from the San Fernando Valley to Santa Catalina Island.
Twitter users sounded both intrigued and terrified at the idea of a glass slide on the side of a building.

Uh okay... Why are they doing this short ride? Make it real and wrap it half way around or something. https://t.co/rCMNp8luhq— Mister Thompson (@listen2thompson) March 2, 2016
