Simon Beck Game Of Thrones Snow Art

A man created insane 'Game of Thrones' snow art using nothing but his footsteps - In anticipation of the upcoming "Game of Thrones" season six premiere, European entertainment company Sky Atlantic commissioned "snow artist" Simon Beck to create an epic tribute to the series' iconic family: The Starks.
The snow art covers an area in the Alps the size of two-and-a-half football fields. Beck recreated the Stark's house sigil (a direwolf head) and he wrote out their house words ("Winter is Coming") in the classic "Game of Thrones" font.

Take a look Sky Atlantic's feature on Beck's work:

Beck sketched out the map of his walking path ahead of time, planning exactly how he would create the shape of the direwolf and the lettering using nothing but his footsteps.

Then, using a compass, he walked for nearly 13 hours along the planned course. Sky Atlantic reports the journey took 64,800 steps for a total of 32.5 kilometers covered.

The result? A stunningly accurate portrait of the Stark house sigil and words, which can be seen clearly from a bird's eye view.

Winter may be coming to an end in the US, but in the fictional world of Westeros it's just beginning.
The sixth season of "Game of Thrones" premieres Sunday, April 24.
