0544 GMT [Dow Jones] Taiwan shares end 0.3% higher at 8990.26, rebounding modestly from four-month intraday low 8860.17 seen on Tuesday. As new iPhones will hit China's market later this month, Apple (AAPL) suppliers lead the Taiex higher. TSMC (2330.TW) closes up 1.3% at NT$121.50, Hon Hai (2317.TW) gains 2.5% to NT$98.40 while Largan (3008.TW) rises 1.4% to NT$2,210.00. IBT Securities analyst Jared Wang says foreign institutional investors have been trimming their stock holdings for three weeks now, ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's planned exit from it bond-purchase program, which is sucking some life out of the Taiex. He tips the index will be stuck in 8800-9200 range until early next month. (aries.poon@wsj.com)
